Please follow the steps below, and it should be painless :-)
1. First, put the folder onto your hard disk, anywhere you choose.
2. Open the folder, you will see the "Email StartUP" stack. Double-click on this to open it.
3. "LOG_ON" to the system from this stack... You will be asked to register your stack.
4. Print your name, then tab over to the "serial #" field, and type in the serial number you have been furnished with-- it must be typed in EXACTLY as sent. (minus quotation marks, of course) The serial # for this demo version is EMAIL-DEMO
5. If this is ok, you will then be asked for your name and password. The first time you log-in, it is best to log in as "Vince Jelenic" with password of "zx".
6. Now quit the program. It is now ready to be used by anyone on the User's list. You may now go back and register new users, or just try out the program, as you wish.
If you are running this across a network, do the following as well.
7. Put a copy of the "Email StartUP" stack ON every machine that will access the email system.
7 a) if you are using AT EASE®, or other file security mechanism, you should then place an ALIAS of this file in the appropriate folders. SEE AT EASE docs for how to do this.
7 b) You may also, alternately, place a copy of this stack on any floppy disk that your users may use with your systems. They can click on the stack, and it will start up. You may make as many copies of this stack as you need -- it cannot run without the E-Mail system stacks anyway.
8. Note: Your Single-Copy licence allows you to do the following:
8 a) Make as many copies as you need of the Email StartUP Stack, and place it on any computers to which you will have access. ANY user may use this stack.
8 b) You may make only ONE copy of the E-Mail system stacks (Those contained in the folder, and entitled "E-Mail", "User Help", "MailBox", "Mailing Lists", and "UserList".) These may reside on ONE computer only. You may make any number of back-up copies of such stacks as you deem necessary.
8 c) You may allow Three users have access to the E-Mail system, but have only ONE E-Mail system running at any one time.
Note: if you work on a network, and you move the files around a lot, it will ask you to re-locate the email stacks a lot. This is normal. Running our stack on a network is best done if you have a stable position for it, it simplifies it for the users. If you move it around a lot, it just means your users will have to know how to "locate" a file, or connect to a network file server, It's your choice. This is difficult to control using file security mechanisms such as "AT EASE" and others....
Oh yes.. almost forgot.
The system is set to accept the following users, with corresponding Password
